beauty in detail

We are at the cutting edge of creation and art evolution and go through extraordinary procedures to create every stunning piece of art. Our proprietary 14-stage method is as groundbreaking as it it brilliant. We call it Sunago Art, from the Greek word Sunago, meaning “to come together” as we bring together ‘Old Masters’ fundamentals and new world technologies to create artwork that is breathtakingly realistic in permanent traditional oil and canvas.

2 | Location

Styling your surroundings is a key component to the overall gestalt. To tell your story, we can travel to you or you can visit us in Florida at our beautiful studio on Lake Josephine. We can either use a location which has personal meaning to you, keep a simple clean background or design a master set for you. With 30 years of global set design experience, we will confidently bring your story to reality.

3 | Beauty & Style

The beauty application for your photoshoot is another crucial component. Our beauty team will discover your style, needs and comfort levels. Our own professional stylist will walk you through clothing selections and take care of every aspect of beauty and styling for you. We offer many options.

4 | Art Production

We do not require that you sit for weeks of posing during the creation of your oil painting. As masters of photography and set design, we will skillfully create a breathtaking photograph first. This will be used in the creation of your oil painting. As well as focusing on detail and accuracy, our team of world-class professionals will ensure that your time commitment will be as efficient and non-intrusive as possible to your schedule.

5 | Graphic Creation

After a review of all photography, the graphic segment of your Legacy Oil Painting begins. Here we utilize a series of technologies to produce layered illustrations, starting with a blank screen and creating your story using several layers of photographs and hand-drawn pieces. We mix this with proprietary methods of balancing light and composition – and as we do so, unexpected details come to life in ways never seen before.

6 | Ink Transfer

With 30 years of master printing precision, we transfer the art onto canvas using the highest quality inks known to man. Both the canvas, inks and methods are 100 per cent archival.

7 | Proprietary Coatings

This proprietary process is of extreme importance to the structure of your masterpiece. The canvas is coated with multiple thin layers of our “proprietary formula”. This unique process bridges traditional old masters fundamentals and current technologies. The drying times between layers and final coat are specifically adhered to with precision and accuracy.

8 | sunago oil Painting

One of the most unique qualities of a Masterpiece Oil Painting is the fact that both Ela and Lawrence paint each piece. Over the next four to eight weeks the stroke of each artist’s brush completes the painting. During this time the canvas is covered and the oil painting comes to life. Numerous pallets of paint and hundreds of colors will be traditionally mixed and applied as both artists apply their style and creativity. Each piece is uniquely authentic and original.

9 | Signing the Painting

Lawrence and Ela not only paint each piece, they both also sign each piece. Some paintings are signed Lawrence and Ela, while other paintings are signed Ela and Lawrence. The lead painter of the piece always signs first and has final say as to the overall gestalt of the artwork.

Ela and Lawrence also embark on paintings of their own. In this case there is only the one signature of the that painter.

10 | Archival Varnish application

The oil painting must be allowed to dry. This will vary due to the paint thickness used during creation and may take from eight to twelve months. Every aspect of the creation of your piece will adhere to archival fundamentals and be executed with exquisite craftsmanship.

11 | Frame Selection

The craftsmanship involved in the marriage between the frame and the painting is critical. We professionally assist you in frame selection. You can choose an antique one-of-a-kind frame or a bespoke, hand-carved frame from a modern day master.

15 | vip reveal gala

Every Masterpiece needs an appropriate reveal and / or gala. Perhaps you would like your reveal to be quiet and intimate with a meal prepared by a celebrity chef? Or you may want the gala itself to become part of your legacy and be a luxurious, unforgettable event with VIP guests. What about appearances from your favorite celebrity performers, celebrity chefs, and / or a famous actor doing a voice over as your commissioned life documentary plays to your guests. What ever the request, the answer’s almost certainly ‘yes’. This is "your" legacy and we are here to leave your mark in history as you choose.
